As anticipated for some time, the Dublin Docklands Development Authority is to be wound up. The Minister for the Environment, Community and Local Government made the announcement on the 31st of May. The Authority will remain in place for a transitional period of up to 18 months while new arrangements are put in place. It is understood that the continuation of the regeneration programme for the area will remain a key priority under any new set up.
