McCutcheon Halley is delighted to announce that, on 29th March 2018, An Bord Pleanála granted planning permission to O’Flynn Construction for the development of 608 no. residential units and neighbourhood centre, which includes a creche, retail/services, community building and school site at Ballinglanna, Glanmire.  The development was assessed directly by An Bord Pleanála under the Strategic Housing Development provisions and is the largest housing scheme granted under these provisions to date.

McCutcheon Halley acted as lead planning consultants and co-ordinated the preparation of the Environmental Impact Assessment Report for the application.  The multi-disciplinary team included Doyle McDonogh Nash Architects; JODA Consulting Engineers, ARUP, John Cronin & Associates, Tom Gittings Ecology, Viridus and John Kelleher & Associates.  The development will help to address the chronic housing shortage in Cork and is the culmination of years of preparation and close co-operation with Cork County Council and important input from Transport Infrastructure Ireland and Irish Water.
