We are now at the point of needing to grow our team further and would like to speak to candidates who may be interested in a Planning Consultant position, based in our Cork office.

More about what you will be doing in this role:

  • Manage a wide range of projects with our clients focusing on a positive client experience
  • Ongoing stakeholder management where you will be advising design teams of planning requirements and manage all other related parties such as planning authorities and other statutory bodies
  • Prepare planning reports ensuring all the relevant information is captured and presented in a meaningful manner
  • Manage the delivery of Environmental Impact Assessment Reports
  • Develop all project plans in line with our in-house style ensuring to manage the project budgets effectively and ensure delivery high quality services on time
  • Work with and guide/mentor junior staff members so that they learn and develop their careers within the organisation

What we are looking for from you:

  • We require candidates who are qualified in Town Planning, with a minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience, along with the following capabilities and skills:
  • Have a strong understanding of the Irish planning system
  • Undertake research and data analysis to inform planning reports
  • Excellent report writing skills and the ability to communicate clearly with others
  • A keen eye for detail
  • Assist with managing external multi-disciplinary consultant teams
  • Commercially astute and have effective stakeholder management capability
  • Be experienced in project management methodology generally and can apply good project management principles to all your engagements with clients
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office including the ability to use templates and produce professional quality reports
  • Experience of using CAD, GIS, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp would be an advantage
  • A full driving licence and access to a car.
