Cork City Council yesterday have released a Notification of Decision to Grant to Tower Developments Properties Limited for a 240 bedroom hotel, 25 hotel serviced suites, and a range of commercial uses including retail, office, food and beverage, distillery, tourism and leisure at Custom House Quay, Cork.
The development will see Cork host the tallest building in Ireland standing at 140 metres tall and will add to the well needed redevelopment of Cork docklands. The mixed-use development will consist of a 5-star Hotel featuring a sky bar and restaurant, spa and leisure facilities with retail, office, food and beverage opportunities on lower ground level as well as a micro-brewery with a waterfront public realm. As the development is strategically positioned looking out over the Port of Cork, an interactive visitor centre focusing on the maritime history of the Port has also been included.
