An Bord Pleanala recently granted permission to Denis O’Brien Developments (Cork) Limited for a 216 no. bed space student accommodation development at Orchard Road, Cork.
The development will consist of 30 student apartments across three blocks ranging from 1 to 5 storeys in height and will act as an extension to the campus at UCC. The Board considered that the proposed development was acceptable in terms of proposed height and protects the existing amenities and established character of the area, the development also provides a sustainable and efficient use of land within a public transport corridor.
