Cheryl O’Connor



Cheryl joined McCutcheon Halley’s Cork office in 2015 as a Planning Consultant having previously worked in other consultancy roles.

Cheryl works on a broad range of projects providing planning advice on various forms of development including residential development, student accommodation, mixed-use town centre schemes, commercial/office developments, retail, and renewable energy, specifically Solar Photovoltaic projects. Cheryl also has experience in the preparation of site feasibility and planning appraisals, development plan submissions, strategic masterplans, coordinating planning applications, planning appeals, public consultation, retail analysis, planning compliance and enforcement, and Environmental Impact Assessment.

She is conscientious in her approach to each project and this is reflected in the quality and detail of her assessments. With a concise writing style, Cheryl clearly outlines the planning approach and merits of a project in her reports in a manner that is easily understood.

Cheryl is a graduate of University College Cork and holds a Master’s in Planning and Sustainable Development and a Bachelor of Social Science Degree. She is a member of both the Irish Planning Institute and the Royal Town Planning Institute.
