Jim Keogan is a Director in our Dublin office, and previously worked in the public sector for over 30 years. During that time, he held a number of senior professional planning positions before taking up the role of Manager of the Planning Department of Dublin City Council in 2007.
Until his retirement from the public sector in 2016, Jim managed the preparation and formulation of all the City’s planning policy from City Development Plans to Development Contribution Schemes. Leading the Department’s Professional, Technical and Administrative personnel and working with the Councils Senior Management Team and Elected Members in conjunction with numerous sectoral interests including the public, Jim oversaw the delivery of a comprehensive programme of policy and plans for the City during this period.
Jim was also responsible for managing the planning service to the City including development management, enforcement, building control and conservation. and a key objective for him was to provide an efficient and professional service to all the City’s clients.
Acting as Project Director for a variety of client’s, Jim’s approach to development proposals is thorough and he constantly seeks to add value to the process.
Jim’s principal area of expertise is urban regeneration and he regularly leads development proposals to transform degraded areas into spaces that meet contemporary living, working and cultural needs.
