McCutcheon Halley Chartered Planning Consultants are delighted to have received a grant of permission from Kerry County Council for 1) the removal of existing baggage claim area to provide new departure gate, 2) the construction of a new extension to main airport building to allow for i) sit down restaurant and bar area, ii) arrival areas, iii) luggage reclaim area, iv) customs, offices, security, and WC’s, and 3) new coach set down parking area and 4) all ancillary site development works at Kerry Airport, Gearha (townland), Farranfore, Co. Kerry.

The proposed development is a modest development in the context of the existing airport and will ensure that the operations in Kerry Airport continue and allow the facility to modestly grow to cater for passenger needs.

The proposed development will be a positive contribution to the surrounding area and will improve the overall operation of the existing airport. The proposed development can also be accommodated without having a negative impact on the local road network.

Acting as planning consultant and project lead, McCutcheon Halley was responsible for all planning related matters from inception through to decision and prepared all planning application documentation.

Permission granted for extension August 2023.
