McCutcheon Halley recently formed part of a multi-disciplinary design team which helped secure the Schools PPP Programme – Bundle 3 for the planning, design, construction and management of 8 schools at locations throughout the country. This included 6 post primary schools at Doon, Tramore, Gorey, Athlone, Ballinamore and Letterkenny and a post-primary and primary school on a single site at Doughiska, Galway.

Given the nature of the PPP process it was imperative to devise a strategy which minimised planning risk and during the tender process we provided advice to the client on forming responses to queries raised by the National Development Finance Agency on the planning strategy and planning matters in general.

The tender programme dictated that once the tender was awarded valid planning applications had to be lodged promptly. McCutcheon Halley worked with the design team and project architects to ensure the submitted applications would be valid and co-ordinated and prepared the planning applications for submission to the relevant local authorities.
